Idealistic pragmatist, recovering perfectionist and lover of all things beautiful, I’m a passionate advocate of people believing in themselves so they can live an authentic and healthful life! 

Growing up, my parents were always telling me I had too much on my plate but I enjoy a certain level of busyness as it keeps life interesting.  In fact, when deciding on the number of children for our family, I remember telling someone, “I like the idea of a little bit of chaos…"  Well, we've got some of that chaos now with three boys, one little girl and a dog and cat who fight like, well, cats and dogs! 

My husband is a business owner of two tech companies. One develops large scale video platforms for service providers and contact centres around the world. The other is a Cloud Telephony and Communications company. Together we're passionate about seeing the Kingdom manifest in the realm of business.

Encountering the love of a good God in my late teens was the defining moment for my Christian faith; I’d crashed my car and I shouldn’t have walked away.  But I did.  The Creator of the universe reached down and rescued me in my moment of desperate need.  This experience, that was incredibly real and monumental, set me on a path of discovery, uncovering my identity and learning to love and be loved. 

It would be easy to write about all my likes and dislikes but I think quick-read lists are better.  So here’s a brief snapshot of me…

I LOVE…a good laugh, dinner with friends, books, silly dancing with my children, yummy food, adventure, arthouse movies, great design, beautiful things, barefoot walks on the beach, feeling fit and strong, dates with my husband, authenticity and honesty, conversations that challenge me, new (good) experiences, surprising people with gifts.

I DREAM OF…travelling the world with my children, becoming fluent in another language, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge in real life (in March 2014, hubby and I visited Paris which had been a dream of mine for MANY years.  Dreams absolutely DO come true!) and seeing a New Zealand where every child is safe in their own home.

I APPRECIATE…my AMAZING husband who works hard but is also very intentional about spending time with his family, clean drinking water from the tap, the times I’ve been able to visit my sister (who lives overseas), parents who babysit, great friends who genuinely care, having a home I love, when people do small things that show they know me, my children when they do as I ask of them (which parent doesn't appreciate that!)
